Cross Functional Working Group
A cross functional working group is in place which will assess and respond to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We have an ongoing programme to review our response to the risk imposed by slavery and human trafficking and our existing policies and practices will be reviewed and updated as required. To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.
The focus for the 2018/19 Financial Year.
1. Supply Chain:
As part of our annual supply chain performance reviews, we constantly remind our suppliers of updates to our policy and likewise request evidence of their progress that enables us to strengthen and develop partnerships with companies who share and promote the same ethical and moral codes of conduct established within Cambridge Weight Plan.
2. Distributors:
Ensure all distributors have either agreements or renewed agreements in place, which include reference and commitment to anti-slavery legislation. For those distributors whose agreements have not been subject to renewal, add an addendum to their current agreement outlining our commitment and policy towards anti-slavery. Audit all agreements accordingly.
3. Recruitment:
Continue to audit agency worker providers due diligence checks against Gang Licencing Agency requirements.
